Special features regarding teachingBachelor's: Stay abroad appropriate from 5th semester. Master's: Stay abroad possible at any time. The ERASMUS programme of the TU BS offers a variety of exchanges with European universities such as in Logrono, London, Linköping and in La Réunion. Students apply for stays at non-European universities via the ISEP programme. master's students in economics can apply for one-year stays at the University of Omaha and the University of Rhode Island with the option of obtaining an MBA.

Support for foundersTU Braunschweig offers central services to promote business start-ups and technology transfer: They include, e.g. start-up coaching and mentoring, the "Gründungsinkubator" (Start-up incubator offering fully equipped, free-of-charge workspaces) and courses or events offered by the Chair of Entrepreneurship. Students benefit from advisory services and offerings of the regional founders network, of which the TU BS is a part; iTUBS, an innovation enterprise, offers additional support. The Technology Transfer Office’s regular founders meeting offers opportunities to communicate with other founders.

Characteristics of assistance to differently abled personsThe possibility of reasonable adjustments for students who have permanent health impairments is covered by the General Examination Regulations of the TU BS. Advice and further assistance are provided by the Diversity Coordination Office and the Mathematics programme coordinators. The Diversity Mentoring programme offers additional support to students.

Characteristics of diversity advancementIn the department, students can receive individual advice or guidance relating to their personal circumstances. The central Diversity Coordination Office has many services for promoting diversity, including network meetings, workshops and diversity mentoring for day-to-day university life. Services are also provided by the family office for combining family commitments with studying/professional life; projects like fiMINT, final doctoral support, mentoring for women postdocs, “PROfessorin”, “Karriere nach Maß”, Femtec to support women in science and academic careers.
