Characteristics of assistance to differently abled personsThe RWTH Aachen University is therefore especially committed to the special requirements of students with disabilities or chronic illness. From accessible lecture halls and facilities to quiet rooms, expert and individual advice, and inclusive sports. Student assistants are also available to help with many tasks and accompany students around the university and the libraries, where workspaces for students with vision impairment are provided. The examination regulations similarly take into account the special requirements and make provisions for reasonable adjustments.
Other special featuresOnce per semester, the so-called school-year conference is held. The lecturers of the courses from the first four semesters meet with the students and the students report on how they rate their classes. These conferences are always very constructive.
