Represented areas: Algebra, representation theory, Theory of Numbers, Geometry, Topology, Harmonious Analysis, Combinatorics, Applied Analysis, Numerical Mathematics, Mathematical Biology, Mathematical Physics, Theory of Probability/Stochastics, Statistics, Stochastic Analysis and Didactics of Mathematics

Other special featuresStudy centre of the departmental student organisation for student joint work; Small group model: Tutorials are held in small groups of approx. 20 people under guidance of a student or academic assistant; the choice of assistant is made centrally via a tutorial commission on the basis of teaching evaluations, the tutorial leaders are qualified as part of the faculty’s own tutor training; Quality of teaching: For all courses (from 10 participants) there is an evaluation, which is published internally within the faculty
