    The B.Sc. core subject Computer Science (with relatively small application subjects) allows for studies with a high computer science content, while the B.Sc. major subject Computer Science allows for a free combination with a variety of humanities and linguistics subjects (to the extent of 2:1 in the study programme).

  • Special features regarding the equipment
    Modern computer rooms (Linux) exclusively for students of Computer Science; computer rooms for the department too; access to Microsoft MSDN Academic Alliance.

    Founder of the Computer Science literature database DBLP (Digital Bibliography and Library Project), which is used the world over; partner of the Leibniz-Institutes für Informatik "Schloss Dagstuhl" (Schloss Dagstuhl – Leibniz Centre for Informatics, an internationally recognised meeting place for Computer Science); many international cooperations; research which has received international awards; there is also local close cooperation with Business Informatics, Mathematics, Geoinformatics and Computer Linguistics. The Centre for Informatics Research and Technology is the central point of contact at Trier University for all research projects and topics in the IT field.
