    At Saarland University, students, alumni and academics are specifically prepared for entrepreneurship by the Contact Office for Knowledge and Technology Transfer (KWT), and young entrepreneurs receive support in the start-up, interim and production phase. Start-up seminars, workshop series and specific coaching on campus help potential founders to prepare a business start-up professionally and secure their future success. Saarland University was named an EXIST Entrepreneur University in 2013.

    The degree programmes include regulations on reasonable adjustments and part-time study. Support is also provided to students with disabilities or chronic conditions by the Contact Office for Education and Disability.

    The Department of Physics at the UdS has a very international approach and offers an excellent study and research environment.
