Support for foundersThere is active support for start-ups at the university, for example through the start-up network SAXEED. The start-up network SAXEED promotes and supports start-ups by professors, university staff, students and graduates. For this purpose, those interested in founding a company are qualified in various subject areas and those who have decided to found a company are individually supported. Company founders are in good hands at the Technologie Centrum Chemnitz, which is located on the university's technology campus in the direct vicinity of the Faculty of Mathematics.
-
Other special featuresThe faculty has the Mathematics Study Centre for joint learning outside of courses, but which is still supported by tutors. The linking of theory and practice is supported by excursions. The good rapport between teaching staff and students is regularly maintained through joint leisure events, such as summer BBQs and Christmas lectures. For students, there is a wide range of positions as scientific assistants. Numerous student clubs and student initiatives provide a wide range of cultural activities.
