Special features regarding teachingSmall groups with intensive supervision by lecturers; No long waiting times for appointments with professors and lecturers; No queuing for computers in the computer pool; We feel that our teaching has to do justice to the name “applied mathematics” - the mandatory elective modules in particular include many applied topics; Students do their undergraduate degrees and doctorates in topics of applied mathematics, which are done in collaboration with the engineering and economics departments

Special features regarding the equipmentPC pools centrally and at the departments (can be used around the clock); Parallel computers (2300 processor cores) at university level, which are also used for teaching; Permanently installed projectors in almost all lecture halls; CAVE (Cave Automatic Virtual Environment, 4-sided installation to project a three-dimensional virtual reality); myTU app helps students, especially in the first semesters; EDUROAM WiFi throughout campus.
