Special features regarding teachingThe new “Mathe-Treffpunkt” service is there to support new students, and every year there is a refresher course for first-semester students to help with the transition from school to university. The tutor-student ratio is very good and there are always new teaching formats.

Special features regarding the international orientationUniversity contracts with Cluj-Napoca and Havana.

Special features regarding the equipmentThe new rooms established in 2001 on the Weinberg campus offer students attractive external conditions (lecture theatres, library, PC rooms, cafeteria), close to the science faculties, everything close by and good transport links. The reconstruction of the building carried out in 2013 has resulted in studying conditions that are even more improved.

Characteristics of diversity advancementThere are projects to specifically promote and support female students and female junior scientists.

Other special featuresThe institute is rather small and attaches importance to a good support ratio and a lot of personal contact between the students and the professors.
