Support for foundersVarious services to support business start-ups as part of the Software Innovation Campus Paderborn (SICP), Paderborn Center for Advanced Studies in Computer Science and Engineering (PACE) offers Entrepreneur and Management mini-MBA specialisations in its PACE+ programme.

Characteristics of diversity advancementComputer Science is heavily involved in a programme (“Frauen gestalten die Informationsgesellschaft”) to encourage girls and women to study computer science and/or pursue an academic career in the field. The programme includes a spring and autumn university for female school students. There is also “look upb”, a mentoring programme in STEM subjects for female school students, which includes workshops, excursions and attending lectures. A mentoring programme is also available for female students, which gives insights into scientific work and life in research.
