  • Special features regarding the international orientation
    The curriculum requires enrolment in English-taught courses of at least 12 ECTS. As for the programme, it should be noted that the 6th subject semester in particular is ideal for a mobility window for a semester or work placement abroad. The course collaborates closely with the University of Chester, particularly with joint student seminars

  • Special features regarding the equipment
    PC workstations and Internet: WiFi access across the campus and 1,500 network connections, around 70 central PC workstations; all PC workstations have high-speed Internet access; University library: open daily, also at the weekend, access to relevant databases (esp. JURIS and beck-online), access also possible from home, loan options for tablets.

    All professors of the programme regularly publish in journals and books. Initial relevant third-party funded projects have been acquired.

  • Support for founders
    Project Helix: It is an interdisciplinary approach to learning for entrepreneurial culture. Objectives are the acquisition of personal and social skills for the development of founder personalities. To this end, methods from all three faculties are combined, and the students are accompanied throughout the entire Bachelor's course. A central HELIX lab is available as further support. It provides space for trying out business and product ideas. The HEEDPF project builds on that and further promotes the teams and/or founders. Additional support by professors.
  • Characteristics of assistance to differently abled persons
    Comprehensive counselling (student services) available to students with chronic illness or disabilities. A binding study agreement gives students a chance to customise the programme to their personal needs and limitations relative to their disability.
  • Characteristics of diversity advancement
    The university has an equality concept in place as well as a equal opportunities representative who is required to be involved in all relevant procedures. The university has also been certified as a "family-friendly university". The faculty offers two courses of study, which can be completed entirely, or only in the first three semesters, in English. There is a mentoring programme for international students.

    The course collaborates closely with the University of Chester, particularly with joint student seminars Hochschule Pforzheim has Masters courses on offer for graduates of the Economic Law course, which focus on Auditing, Personnel Management and Product Development. International accreditation by (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) as the only higher education institution for Applied Sciences in Germany (as at 01/09/2016). the university is a signatory to the UN's Principles of Responsible Management Education (PRME).
