  • Special features regarding teaching
    Accompanying practicals/exercises that allow students to intensely engage with the teaching content. Various types of projects prepare students for various aspects of professional work. A software is developed jointly in a small project group. This is where project management is practised. During the project work, the software development process is tested and then in the practical phase, operational practice. Additional support courses are regularly offered to balance out overly large differences in performance at least in part. New offer: Flexible entry phase.
  • Special features regarding the international orientation
    The Department of Technology and HS E/L maintain numerous contacts with international universities, institutes and internationally active industrial partners. The International Representative of the Department and the International Office help us to integrate a stay abroad in academic studies in a meaningful manner. In the Master Industrial Informatics the new specialisation ‘Industrial Cyber-Physical Systems’ offers an English branch. Prerequisite: B2 level language proficiency. International students are expressly welcome. The network of partner universities is currently being expanded (cf. question 18).

  • Special features regarding the equipment
    The laboratory facilities of the individual disciplines are continuously updated. Various specialist laboratories/good infrastructure. Against the background of specialized educational requirements, the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering and Computer Science runs its own independent computer centre. Expert support is ensured through the department's own IT specialists (graduate engineers and graduate computer scientists). They supervise the department's four PC rooms with a total of 70 workstations. As there is an access control system, the PC rooms and other rooms can also be used outside normal opening hours

    The Central Office for Knowledge and Research Transfer provides general information and information on funding options. opportunity to participate in the seminar on business start-ups with external lecturers.     The University in Emden offers short distances on an attractive campus. There are course-specific activities that create a real sense of group membership. Comprehensive programme of university sports and funded activities to increase the attractiveness of the place of study (MyCampus/student organisations/student union) contribute to study satisfaction.
