  • Special features regarding teaching
Our students can expect a course range which has been qualified for more than 20 years. They are supported by experienced teaching staff (professors) and experienced personnel (laboratory technicians). From the summer semester 2013, the Department of Computer Science has been housed in an extensively renovated building. Here, there are only bright rooms with modern equipment which offer an inviting atmosphere in which to study. Special rooms (computer, network, hardware and robotics labs) offer excellent conditions to deepen knowledge of course contents in practical exercises.
  • Special features regarding the equipment
The faculty has a series of computer labs with up-to-date equipment, a modern network laboratory, a robotics laboratory; it has recently acquired a Big Data Innovation Center, as well as an additional university building for the research activities of the department. In addition, students have access to the resources of the universities in Saxony, for example, high-performance computers/Linux clusters. On site there is a modern library and online access to well-known journals and specialist journals. The students are individually introduced to and supervised in research and teaching.
