Special features regarding teachingThe University of Applied Sciences Europe, Iserlohn, stands for sound management training geared to practical requirements. We cooperate with well-known companies and have access to a network offering numerous work placements and career openings. Experts from practice are integrated into lectures. International character arises from compulsory semesters abroad, summer schools and courses in English. Cooperation initiatives provide for a second degree at a partner higher education institution abroad.

Special features regarding the international orientationThe UE has been part of the private university network Global University Systems since 2017. Belonging to the Laureate Network emphasises our commitment to providing an education at the top international level. Semesters abroad, language courses and summer schools are an integral part of all courses. These are realised in close exchange with our partner universities or a university of the student's choice. The objective is to encourage cross-cultural understanding.

Special features regarding the equipmentLecture theatres equipped with modern technology and all the customary presentation media, as well as campus WiFi, personal skills trainings room with moderation and video equipment, TV studio, radio studio, PC pools, access to online data bases. Diverse media use, both in terms of the technical use as well as its effect and areas of application within the lectures, enable the students to deal competently as part of the training.

Special features regarding research and developmentApplication research is in the foreground, currently especially in the disciplines of Marketing and Market Research, Finance, Capital Market Regulation, Controlling, Human Resources and Digitalisation, as well as CSR. Members of the faculty can reference contributions in renowned journals and presence at international research conferences. The students are involved in the Bachelor and Master theses in the research process and are encouraged to publish their results and are supported in doing.

Support for foundersBachelor's programmes include a specialisation option that allows students to focus on Entrepreneurship. In addition, students receive direct support from lecturers in their entrepreneurship projects. Contacts with the business world are also established when needed. Furthermore, the university also provides financial support for students by way of the alumni and friends of the university associations.

Other special featuresCorporate Social Responsibility is an important educational task for the university. This includes not only an offer of subjects focusing on CSR and sustainability, but also the opportunity to get involved in various departments in the CSR area (BiTS2Society, BiTSVision). The CSR process is actively promoted by the optional selectable specialisation in Automotive Technology Management (E-Mobility). The content learned in the lectures is implemented not only in internships but also in student departments and enables sustainable learning.
