    Command of the marketing mix, journalistic thinking, understanding of the processes of human interaction; prepares students for many other professions that require communication skills and a background knowledge of Business, e.g. work in consulting, conceptual or creative fields of communications agencies, specialist journalism, communication management of non-profit organisations or in cultural or event management.
  • Special features regarding the international orientation
    The department has its own strategy of internationalism. This also includes facilitating international experience, designing international courses and promoting cross-border partnerships in teaching and research.

  • Special features regarding the equipment
    Each semester, students create advertising clips, documentaries, radio plays, short films and other multimedia products in the AV cutting room. The studio houses modern video and audio engineering equipment that students can use to lend sound and vision to their ideas. Using so-called desktop publishing programs, students can format text and add images. Students learn how to use DTP software with the aid of specific tasks. They create manuscripts for print media as well as realising websites and multimedia projects.

    The teaching staff on the Business Communication course conduct research in all areas relating to the subject, in particular in Corporate Culture, Corporate Design, Corporate Identity, Internal Organisational Communication/Employee Communication, Marketing, Media Management, Organisational Development, Public Relations/Communication Management, the Sociology of Business Communication, the Psychology of Business Communication, Advertising, Relationship Management in Business Communication, Design Management, Innovations Marketing, Risk Communication, Social Psychology, new. 7 cooperative doctorates in the period 2013-2015.

    In various practical projects and in a subject-related work placement in the fourth and fifth semester, students are given the opportunity to put the knowledge they have gained into practice in real-life situations. Students also gain important contacts and several ideas on how they can progress after their course. In this way, graduates can take the necessary balance between communication and business, between theory and practice with them after the course, enabling them to get a head start in their careers.
