Special features regarding teachingCombined degree course, i.e. in addition to self-study phases (70% of the course), practical attendance phases are conducted every second Saturday. Teaching assignments: The course contents, which are traditionally taught by means of lectures, are taught in a combined degree course using didactically prepared self-study methods (teaching assignments. In addition, e-learning with VS-Online as a central electronic communication platform amongst students and between students and lecturers with chats, blogs and teaching material.
Special features regarding the international orientationIn Industrial Engineering, students in the 6th semester can complete a semester abroad at a university of their choice on the basis of a learning agreement. International degree courses provide opportunities for a year abroad at the partner university Staffordshire University (UK) and completing a dual degree (BA Sc/BA Eng Hons). The international orientation is promoted through a wide range of foreign language courses, international workshops and excursions, as well as a range of English-taught courses that are currently being developed.
