Special features regarding the equipmentTeaching and learning take place in pleasant new or very well renovated buildings. The equipment of all seminar rooms and lecture halls allows the use of various media (projectors, screens, boards, smartboards, document cameras). The laboratories include state-of-the-art technology. Several PC pool rooms are available to students. The university buildings are equipped with WiFi. Numerous study areas are available. The library has access to extensive literature, including through an online library network.

Special features regarding research and developmentThe university's profile is also characterised by strong application relevance in research (including the DFG) and intensive cooperation with industry and other partners. Since small and medium-sized companies often cannot operate sufficient R&D departments, the university, as the "research laboratory" of these companies, makes an important contribution to the development of the region. In addition, the research serves the purpose of continuously updating the curriculum and provides interesting fields of work for the students as within the framework of projects and theses.

Support for foundersIn the Entrepreneurship professorship, the Faculty has an institutionally anchored contact point that ensures the curricular integration of entrepreneurship-oriented modules and extracurricular awareness for supporting start-ups and innovation projects.
