Special features regarding teachingIndustrial Engineering is a modern engineering subject and combines classic Mechanical Engineering with the theory and models of Economics. In the degree course in Industrial Engineering with a specialisation in Mechanical Engineering, students acquire skills and expertise in Engineering as well as Economics. This inter-disciplinary education enables them to work in technical, economic and inter-disciplinary fields after their degree (e.g. tasks in overlapping areas between Technology and Economics).
Special features regarding the international orientationIndustrial Engineering students, Mechanical Engineering specialisation, have many options to add an international component to their studies. They can take advantage of university partnerships of the Faculty of Economic Sciences and those of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. Accordingly, the stay abroad can be designed quite individually: From work placement abroad and ERASMUS semester to dual Master’s programmes.
