  • Special features regarding teaching
    The course sees itself as the "golf" of Industrial Engineering. Comprehensive training in all relevant aspects is offered. These are Commercial and Engineering subjects, integration subjects such as Project Management, General Science supplementary subjects (AWE) and foreign languages. Project-oriented teamwork is another focus. The topic of digitisation is dealt with in modules such as Automation Technology, PLM, Innovation Management, IT and Systems Engineering.
  • Special features regarding the international orientation
    Topics of globally positioned companies such as Corporate Strategy, Marketing and Sales, Large-Scale Project Business, Globally Networked Production, Human Resources Management, Financing, Logistics and Procurement as well as Economics are the focus of the Master's curriculum. Annual field trips to companies in China also form a profile. There is a double degree programme (Bachelor) with the renowned Tongji University / Shanghai. A wide range of foreign languages complements the international orientation of the course.
  • Special features regarding the equipment
    In numerous laboratories, suitable content such as application software, production, automation, artificial intelligence, procurement are taught and developed on the basis of application projects.
  • Special features regarding research and development
    In the context of theses in companies, topics of applied research are worked out in a practical way.

    The HTW offers extensive support for company founders.
  • Other special features
    The attractive campus is located in the historic buildings of the AEG - the "Elecropolis" of the past century. The industrial building designed by the renowned architect Peter Behrens serves as a historical location in numerous films. The Mensa cafeteria has a terrace facing the Spree.
