    Direct contact between teachers and students; some course videos WiIng: 3 technical specialisations (Mechanical Engineering/ Electrical Engineering, Energy technology / IT), specialisation areas including Logistics / Traffic / Automotive; balance of Economics and Engineering; Engineering courses together with Engineering students (Mechanical Engineering / Electrical Engineering); separate tutorials for Industrial Engineering students; AEM: many connections to professional practice, balance of technical and commercial content; Technical Logistics: Internal and Inter-company Logistics, many practical projects, broad use of methods with business games and modern software systems.
  • Special features regarding the international orientation
    Large number of cooperation agreements, effective motivation of students for stays abroad, between 25% and 35% of students in any given year complete a stay abroad (studying and/or work placement abroad).

    Very well-equipped labs: e.g. high-voltage and EMC laboratory, Zentrum für Halbleitertechnik, inkl. Optoelektronik (Centre for Semiconductor Engineering, including Optoelectronics), labs for the subject areas of Materials in Electrical Engineering and Nanostructure Engineering, Communications Engineering laboratories (Communications Engineering Systems, Communications and High Frequency Technology), Plastic Injection Moulding Machine and Extrusion laboratories, Torque Test Benches, Print and Flow laboratories as well as Robotics and Periphery laboratories. In addition, there are several PC workstations, print facilities, PC examination rooms and well-equipped lecture theatres as well as WiFi throughout the campus.
  • Special features regarding research activities
    Specialist and interdisciplinary specialisation points in the areas of Products / Production, Energy, Logistics, Automotive, Design, Controlling and Financing; Cross-departmental, interdisciplinary collaboration in scientific and application-related projects. WiIng students and graduates are active in purely Engineering sciences, in purely Business Administration and in interdisciplinary projects at UDE chairs.

    Successful entrepreneurship programme since 1999 "Small Business Management" (courses on entrepreneurship including preparation of business plans), which is attended regularly by Industrial Engineering students.

    Very good cooperation between students / WiIng student council and teachers and program managers, own permanent position for WiIng study advisors. and coordination, clear responsibilities and responsibilities, uniform management of the study programs; In addition to the central homepage of the WiIng degree programs, regular dispatch (approx. every 14 days) of the WiIng newsletter as the central communication tool of the student council in close cooperation with program managers and academic advisors
