  • Special features regarding teaching
    Dual, training-integrating studies, interlinking with practical training takes place via projects and practical transfer reports; small course sizes with approx. 30 students for lectures and exercises, individual support and advancement, practical training through a dual concept, processing of questions from companies; visiting companies on certain issues in various modules; seamless career entry after graduation - the training company usually takes on the graduates.
  • Special features regarding the equipment
    State-of-the-art hardware and software available; computer pool with all study-related software is available to students throughout; modern laboratories used in teaching and research; e.g. in the field of Materials Technology for determining the material alloys, for determining the behaviour of plastics, CT for non-destructive testing or for recording geometries.
  • Special features regarding research and development
    Processing of business issues; project studies with development projects from training companies or from your own ideas and Formula Student Electric: In this context the students work on projects in collaboration with their fellow students from other faculties. They are responsible for time, deadline and budget management, and the results are usually presented publicly/participation at the Hockenheim event. In-depth research activities in the field of materials technology, including plastics; new construction centre for materials and technology with numerous new laboratories.
  • Other special features
    The dual training saves time; in 3.8 years, a job with a chamber examination and studies are successfully completed with a thesis in the company; through individual support and study in small groups dropout rate below 20%; high chances on the job market, as a rule the graduates with the certificate also have an employment contract, mostly from the training company; interested parties with relevant vocational training can study without secondary training.
