    Interlinking of economics and practice. Assistant professors from the field with professional experience (lawyers, judges, tax advisers). Four interdisciplinary specialisations from the third semester: Tax, Legal & Financial Services; Human capital; Compliance; E-commerce. Small groups of students, direct contact with lecturers and course coordinators. Integrated mandatory internship semester in the fourth semester, this is also possible abroad. Career Service. General Course Guidance. Legal clinic, Moot Court and mediation techniques as soft skill events. Legal and Business English.
  • Special features regarding the international orientation
    Due to the English speaking M.A. International Tourism Management attracts applicants from all over the world every year. The university offers financial support in the form of graduation grants for international students. The DAAD Prize is awarded to a particularly committed student once a year. All Bachelor's degree programmes contain a foreign language component. In addition, various stays abroad, including semesters abroad and internships abroad, are supported by various scholarship programmes.

    Practical examples and case studies in legal modules; cooperation with the industry in coordinating the module contents; In the Economics field of the institutes: "Institute for Regional Marketing Research and Consulting" (regioMAR); "Institute for the Control of Regional Development Processes" (IzSRE); "Institute for the Transformation of the Energy System" (ITE).
  • Support for founders
    Startup Centre University of Applied Sciences West Coast (Start FHW) to support students and staff around the topic of "entrepreneurship". The goal is to promote an increase in innovative and growth-oriented start-ups from the university. The Start FHW has a wide network of experience and competence providers for sustainable support. The students are imparted basic foundational knowledge and support is provided in the individual founding phases. Regular events give students an insight into success stories.
