  • Special features regarding the international orientation
    There are cooperation agreements on student exchange with several universities in the People's Republic of China and Russia. Close cooperation with Weill Cornell Medical College, New York, as part of a Graduate College. Further academic training is also possible based on cooperation agreements with the University of Pittsburgh Cancer Institute, the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, Seattle, as well as at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center, Nashville.

    The character of the campus at the Essen university clinic with all the essential institutions in one location – clinics as well as preclinic-theoretical and clinical institutes – enables the excellent linking of theoretical and practical knowledge. Particular focus is placed on the targeted promotion of the next generation of academics.
