Special features regarding teachingTeaching in Heidelberg is characterised by a strong emphasis on hands-on and interdisciplinary treatment of patients under the supervision of calibrated assistants and senior physicians with many years of experience. The HeiCuDent reform curriculum serves as a model for the new licensing regulations and already implements many of the planned interdisciplinary modules (e.g. integrated courses, communication modules, focus on natural science subjects in the 1st-4th semester, intensive skills lab training).
-
Special features regarding the international orientationNumerous international research cooperations have been established, e.g. with the universities of Seoul. Scientists of the MZK Clinic are active in international organisations, e.g. IADR, CED, ORCA, ADEE. There are student exchange programmes with the universities of Montpellier (France) and Minnesota (USA), which enable students to complete their studies without any loss of time.
