Special features regarding research activitiesThe Medical Faculty and the clinic of the LMU are two of the most active university medicine research centres in Europe. The faculty is often the national leader in international research rankings. Dental students are introduced to the ideal image of the clinician scientist who combines the health care provider with the researcher. Main areas of research, e.g. CAD/CAM technology, indiv. implants, osteosynthesis, tissue engineering, materials testing, materials science, biomechanics, virtual reality, caries diagnostics; collaborative projects, international multi-centre studies.
Other special featuresThe LMU offers a course of studies in dentistry starting in the winter and summer semester; learning platform moodle; Virtual University of Bavaria (VHB): Network projects with Bavarian partner universities.
