Special features regarding the equipment
Various laboratories in which research-oriented practical courses are held: Data Fusion Lab, Networking Lab, Sensor Lab, VR Lab; close cooperation with the Gesellschaft für wissenschaftliche Datenverarbeitung mbH (GWDG), where e.g. the supercomputer "Emmy", Northern Germany's fastest computer, is operated.

Expansion of the focus on Data Science, in particular Machine Learning; at the University: Establishment of the Campus Institute Data Science (CIDAS) for cross-faculty and campus-wide collaboration in the field of Data Science
