    Option of dissection-free studies; high experimental content in the courses; empirical theses; high proportion of compulsory elective modules and great flexibility of selection in the elective areas; research-oriented teaching; strong networking with the natural science and mathematics departments and university medicine; offer of also international excursions.

    Participation in the ERASMUS student exchange programmes with 12 partner universities, two departmental representatives for international affairs, cooperation with central institutions, international department and "Incoming" department, range of excursions abroad, possibility to write final theses abroad; member of the EU-funded FORTHEM Alliance, development of international study programmes.
