  • Special features regarding teaching
    Combination of comprehensive basic training and individual options of specialisation: Wide range of courses in Biology (from organism to molecular), as well as in other natural sciences (Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics). High practical training content from the first semester. The second half of the degree offers a large selection of specialisations in all modern areas of organismic and molecular biology and many research-oriented practicals. Key career qualifications.
  • Other special features
    The faculty stands out with its research-intensive working groups. The lecturers in the Bachelor’s and Master’s programmes conduct research in various areas of biology, biochemistry and preclinical medicine. Students in the Bachelor programme in the second half of their studies come into direct contact with current research key areas through research-oriented placements. Students in the Master’s programme complete the modules directly in the working groups. The University of Regensburg is a campus university with short distances between the faculties and to university sports, theatre and music groups, etc.
