    Practice-related education with a concomitant proficiency towards in-depth scientific research and continued education; the impartation of sound competences in up-to-date leading-edge IT methods in research and teaching; obtaining of far-reaching, qualifying and interdisciplinary teamwork skills; intensive collaboration between lecturers and students in all areas of the education.
  • Special features regarding the equipment
    Own IT centre with subject-specialist computer rooms and technical devices; educational computer networks; provision of modern information and communication technology (ICT) methods.
  • Special features regarding research activities
    Close cooperation of mathematics with mathematics didactics and basic sciences, e.g. on digitalisation-related competences of teachers or digital university teaching or in the application of quantitative methods. Conception and evaluation of offers for pupils (Explore ScienCentre, hands-on exhibition MatHildeum).
