  • Special features regarding teaching
    A particular aim of our teaching is, on the one hand, to prepare students for practice, but also at the same time to teach them theoretical foundations so they can recognise and understand deeper connections. This is achieved through interactive courses which include the students, and through the correct combination of theoretical and practical exercises. In addition, there is a very good contact between lecturers and students, which always leads to further improvements to the teaching.
  • Special features regarding the international orientation
    Bilateral agreements with 12 partner universities in other European countries. In research, intensive networking with top scientists worldwide, international cooperation in the context of EU programmes, projects of the ESF and the DAAD and with award winners funded by the Humboldt Foundation.

    Access to high-performance cluster "HILBERT", which can also be used by students for appropriate final theses.

    Support through DIWA GmbH, a joint technology transfer agency of Heinrich Heine University and the state capital Düsseldorf. DIWA sets out to support business start-ups from science, intensify cooperation between science and industry, and strengthen Düsseldorf as a science and technology location.
