    Small number of students; very good supervision in small groups in lectures, exercises and practical courses; research-oriented and interdisciplinary teaching; joint courses for advanced Bachelor and Master; large selection of elective modules; but also specialisation in image processing, computer graphics and visualisation; information systems engineering; optimisation; scientific computing; cooperation with industry and many non-university research institutions; students are involved in research at an early stage, e.g. through publications at conferences.
