Special features regarding teachingThis is an internationally award-winning university with a very international campus (>25% foreign students from more than 100 countries). There is a good infrastructure that supports stays abroad (many language courses, funding options, many partner universities). The degrees include a mobility window that means stays abroad can be organised easily. Because there are many exchange students from the partner university, some classes are held in English.

Special features regarding the equipmentVery well equipped laboratories for the students, much better than the usual computer science equipment; Research: Recording studio, film studio, film editing rooms, virtual reality lab, professional motion capture lab, IT security laboratory, medical Informatics lab, presentation and media lab; IT exercise facilities; A lot of equipment can be borrowed (e.g. photo cameras, HD film cameras, lighting units, sound equipment, laptops). Very well equipped library with access to large scientific databases.
Support for foundersReutlingen University offers a programme to make students aware of the topic during their studies and supports them with initial ideas and planning to direct assistance with start-ups. This is done on an interdisciplinary basis. Special interdisciplinary projects are available. Specialists from the Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK) are regularly on campus, where they have a permanent office and offer advice and support. The department supports all these activities across the university, including provisions made in their own classes and courses. Infrastructure such as maker spaces and a start-up centre are under construction.
Characteristics of assistance to differently abled personsLift access is available to classrooms and teaching spaces. Special arrangements for examinations (incl. presentations) are possible.
Characteristics of diversity advancementReutlingen University signed the "Charta der Vielfalt" (Diversity Charter) in 2014. This charter is a corporate initiative under the patronage of the Federal Chancellor (www.charta-der-vielfalt.de); the university has also successfully taken part in a diversity audit. The department is also committed to these university-wide activities.
