    Five PC centres: 3 parts teaching (including ArcGIS, Erdas Imagine, SPSS, MatLab, NaSiM) and 2 parts project work; 5 sediment labs (2 mills, muffle furnaces, centrifuges, sieve analysis, digestion system, microwave and Behrotest, sputtering units REM); 4 measuring rooms (measuring bench magnetic susceptibility, C-analysis Carmhograph, CHN+S-analyser, Photom, ICP-OES, RDA-Philips, mobile RFA, REM); Pollen lab; Various drilling machines; Hydraulic test flume; Various measuring devices (e.g. for hydrology, geomorphology, meteorology, soil science).

    Departmental plan for the advancement of women, equality concept, promoting gender and diversity research, W2 professorship in anthropogeography with a focus on gender, courses in general career preparation in the gender and diversity field, research funding for women, many provisions and activities to help combine studying, professional and family life, including a parent and child room in the department.
