  • Special features regarding research activities
    With 14 working groups, the research covers almost all main fields of Solid Earth Geosciences. The research projects are focused on the understanding of the Earth's System in the sense of the recognition and analysis of naturally occurring processes and those influenced anthropologically, but also on the early history of our Solar System. A key area in the field of research is the basic research on the origination and development of the Earth and of life, the latter in close collaboration with Life Sciences, Meteorology and the ABG/J network.
