  • Characteristics of assistance to differently abled persons
    Active information on advisory services and help with problems (website, information event for new students). Very close contact to the officer for students with disabilities or chronic conditions, who is available to assist with questions on studying with disabilities, and in particular on reasonable adjustments on admission, during university life and in examinations.
  • Characteristics of diversity advancement
    Support and advice is available to staff and students on questions of equality and discrimination. The Institute of Geography has been committed to the use of gender-neutral language for many years. Seminars on gender-related topics are regularly held for students in the Institute of Geography. Students have already had two self-organised seminars on feminist geography incorporated in the compulsory elective modules with the support of the institute. Excellent university contacts, worldwide research projects; Annual report. 2 Facebook groups; Master excursions are presented as a separate event, Frankenforst estate as own internship area for physical-geographic education: Since 1999 different measuring stations of the subsections Climate, Hydrology, Geomorphology, Soil and Vegetation, the hydrological and climatological measuring devices (discharge level, groundwater station, climatic stations) continuously record the various parameters
