  • Special features regarding the equipment
    X-ray fluorescence, electron-beam microprobe, transmission electron microscopy, diffractometer, mass spectrometer with induced coupled plasma and laser ablation, atomic force microscopy, Raman microscope, extensive microscope equipment, electron microscope and two hydro-geochemical laboratories, - geodynamic observatory Moxa (superconducting gravimeter), - mineralogical collection (excellent range of research and teaching copies). Because of the AquaDiva project, an extensive and very well equipped outdoor laboratory is available.

    Close linkage of geology, geophysics and mineralogy with a very good mathematical-physical education for geophysics students; Hydrocarbon geology with strong application focus; interdisciplinary research and teaching with participation of institutes from chemical/geoscience, biological/pharmaceutical and physical/astronomical faculties
