You can choose your personal focus from a broad spectrum of the fields of population geography, cultural geography, urban geography, economic geography, landscape ecology, hydrology, coastal geography, remote sensing or geographic information systems.

Research focuses: Global change and hazard research, transformation processes in emerging economies, urban and regional development, education for sustainable development.
