Special features regarding research activitiesThe Institute for Applied Kinesiology combines Natural Science, Social and Behavioural Science disciplines as well as research and analysis methods and offers a broad spectrum of associated research activities. The research areas at the Institute can be sub-divided into several thematic key areas: Health (Drum Beat, KOMPASS (Complex General School Study), sports therapy intervention for chronic diseases), motor skills (Parkinsons, diabetes, Sensor Engineering, Biomechanics) and technology development (development projects for industry, Ergonomics in the workplace).
