Special features regarding teachingIn addition to a well-founded scientific knowledge of the subject, we also provide students with a broad knowledge of the subject. We teach the students the necessary skills to work on relevant research issues (wide range of elective subjects, differentiated specialisation through special modules). As a scientific partner of the competitive sports, we support top athletes, associations and societies through special guidance programmes, diagnostic performance tests and research results. We educate teachers to prepare them adequately for the challenges brought with heterogeneous school groups (inclusion) and to fill pupils with enthusiasm for exercise and sport.

In 2022/2023, the new construction of the sports facilities on historic grounds will be completed here.

Special features regarding research activitiesThe students are involved in the concrete research process in all courses of study. In all courses of study, modules are provided to increase research skills. The aim of the final thesis is that concrete scientific publications are submitted. In order to improve the educational situation, the faculty has established its own teaching-learning centre for the implementation of student scientific projects, e.g. in the context of theses or seminar and exercise projects.
