  • Characteristics of diversity advancement
For LFE-Sport, achieving equal opportunity for women and men is an important goal. Equality is an interdisciplinary task that is an integral component both on the central strategic level of LFE-Sport and in teaching. As a family-friendly university, LFE-Sport supports diverse initiatives to combine family and professional life, such as flexible working hours and workplaces (flexi-time, part-time, teleworking etc.)
  • Other special features
The Department of Sport and Health cooperates successfully in the field of research and teaching with institutions from the health market and competitive sports. There are numerous collaborations with institutions such as clinics and therapy centres as well as with sports persons, clubs and associations from national and international high-performance sport. On the one hand, the cooperation agreements allow practice-oriented teaching for the students (e.g. in the orthopaedic biomechanics lab of a rehabilitation clinic) and, on the other hand, application-oriented research (in the area of the German football league).
