Special features regarding the equipmentExcellent sports facilities of the Potsdam Olympic Support Point are used; the school has its own three-field hall for games training, and a new apparatus gymnasium is under construction.

Special features regarding research activitiesThe University Outpatient Clinic is the continuing education centre of the Brandenburg Regional Medical Association (Landesärztekammer) and licensed as a medical examination centre of the DOSB (German Olympic Sports Confederation). Cooperation with the Cognitive Sciences area of excellence (Psychology, Linguistics) on inter-disciplinary Movement Science topics. Specialist research in the fields of Sport and Health, Rehabilitation and Prevention of cardiovascular diseases and mental illnesses.
