Special features regarding teachingAfter graduating from the combination BA, a more practice-oriented Master of Ed. in sports science can be done as part of a Y model. (Teacher training) as well as a non-school more research-oriented Master sc.
Special features regarding the international orientationThe discipline of sports science has a rather regional (national) and educational orientation in the teaching qualification programme; The MSc programme has an international profile. The teachers are internationally networked around the world and publish in the international ‘Scientific Community’, which is advantageous for the students, since current international research developed here can be integrated into the teaching. Visits by athletes and scholars from all over the world complete the international profile.
Special features regarding the equipmentBoth sports medicine and kinesiology and training research have laboratories equipped to international standards that are used in class. The practical sports classes take place in external and easily accessible sports facilities (triple sports hall, gymnastics hall, beach field, two sports grounds with athletics facilities and tracks, high-performance swimming centre) and in sports facilities rented from neighbouring sports clubs (climbing, water sports, tennis) as well as a gym run by the university sports programme.
