Special features regarding teachingOf special note is the international focus, not only through having English as the teaching language, but in particular through a wide international perspective in the development of subject areas such as Accounting and Economic Law. The substantive focus is on management. This also includes a clearly defined focus on “Applied Computing”, which involves skills in the context of SAP software and e-business/net economy. Modern, e-learning-based teaching/learning formats that are developed in the school’s own e-learning studio.

Special features regarding the international orientationThe Faculty has offered several programmes taught entirely in English for 25 years. The share of international students is therefore high, which creates an environment of cross-cultural exchange. A dual-degree option has been in place for some of these programmes for over ten years. The Faculty operates and develops an international learning network on the subject to “Net Economy”.

Special features regarding the equipmentA very modern IT infrastructure and access to latest SAP applications in a practice-oriented test environment create the best conditions for a target-oriented course of studies.

Special features regarding research and developmentAcademic cooperation with the university-wide Competence Centre E-Commerce, which has been established at the Faculty as a key research area. Currently, one must also mention the project partnership as part of the ERDF project “Future Lab Retail 2020” (2016-2019) regarding the digitalisation of stationary, owner-operated retail in the region of South Westphalia. 1 cooperative doctorate in the period 2013-2015.
