  • Special features regarding teaching
Hardly any business problem can be solved without an interdisciplinary approach. The Business Administration courses take this into account by explicitly encouraging students to deal with the content and methodological approaches of related disciplines and to understand their importance for business decisions. For example, the students are given the opportunity to benefit from the profile of the BTU as a technical university and to make their studies very technology-related in order to prepare specifically for a career start in technology-oriented industries.
  • Special features regarding the international orientation
The BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg has more than 150 partnerships with partners around the world. The Bachelor and Master courses in Business Administration explicitly provide mobility windows for studying abroad in order to give students the chance to benefit from the university's international partnerships.

  • Special features regarding research activities
The key areas of economic research on the topics of (Entrepreneurial) Change, Economic Transformation and Innovations underpin the main areas of study on offer and are thus incorporated into teaching.
  • Support for founders
Start-up service with advice and help with application; mediation of contacts to inventors. Explicit consideration of the topic of founding in teaching.
  • Other special features
Students can adapt their studies to their individual preferences in both the Bachelor's and Master's degrees, pursuing specialisations that reflect the complexity of real business problems and take into account the multitude of analysis methods used in business decisions. Another speciality is the emphasis on interdisciplinarity and multidisciplinary studies. This ensures that students are also made aware of problems outside of their own discipline.
