Special features regarding the international orientationAt the Giessen Institute for Romance Studies, teaching and research have a strong international focus; All students (including those studying for a degree without a mandatory period abroad) are encouraged to deepen their specialist knowledge through international experiences, foreign language skills and intercultural competence. The Romance Studies department supports this project with funding programmes such as Erasmus and DAAD, and with numerous partnerships and exchange programmes with European and Latin American universities (and scholarships).
