Special features regarding teachingIn the first study phase (first to the sixth Semester), school education, university block weeks and practical training "on the ward" take place in parallel. These elements are coordinated and are interlinked. In the second study phase (7th to 9th semester), the issues which have arisen can be dealt with in more depth and examined in the context of specific problem areas.
Special features regarding the international orientationThe degree course does not have an explicitly international focus as one of the major aims is to train specialists for the region. There are, however, also optional compulsory courses in English, such as in the module "In-depth study of Health Science and Psychology". In addition, with the consent of the supervisor, the Bachelor's dissertation can also be written in a foreign language.

The faculty has its own media laboratory and a presenting room. At the Seybothstraße campus 140 PC workstations are available to students in the CIP pools. Specific technical equipment for the Nursing course is not necessary for the modules studied at the university.
Characteristics of assistance to differently abled personsThe Ostbayerische Technische Hochschule (OTH) Regensburg actively promotes people with disabilities or chronic diseases being able to successfully design and complete their degree course. There is extensive guidance, a university guide for students with disabilities or chronic illnesses, as well as the possibility of disadvantage compensation for examinations.
Characteristics of diversity advancementThe Gender and Diversity service office was established in April 2011. It actively promotes and supports equal opportunity and sets out to give all students and university members equal access to qualifications and career opportunities and offers various support services in this area. See www.oth-regensburg.de/studium/service-und-beratung/gender-und-diversity.html.
