  • Special features regarding teaching
From the very beginning, the course offers students practical assignments integrated into their studies in specially trained general practitioners' practices and in specialist outpatient practices. In the later course of the degree course, students spend time in the university clinics and academic teaching hospitals during extensive block practicals. The degree course includes the completion of a compulsory research thesis, which is prepared for in the accompanying research curriculum from the 1st semester onwards. Students' professional development is guided in a dedicated pathway in mentoring groups.
  • Arrangements of special exercises at the department
There is a very well-equipped Skills Lab (Clinical Training Centre) where courses are held for students from the first semester onwards, and which is also open daily for free practice. The training centre includes 4 fully equipped skills labs, 2 realistic consulting rooms (incl. video transmission), over 450 different consumables and over 250 different examination devices, simulators and models.
