Special features regarding teachingInternationalisation is a key issue for TU Clausthal. Around 30% of students and 20% of academic staff come from abroad. Collaborations in research and teaching and student exchanges have been agreed with around 150 partners all over the world. The International Center Clausthal (IZC) is the central office for all international matters and language skills.

Special features regarding the equipmentLecture theatres are equipped with the latest technology; PC pools, lively places of learning, as well as well-equipped university and institute libraries are available for student use. High level of IT infrastructure at the University and the student halls of residence; the technical institutes have modern laboratories, workshops and extensive facilities with large-scale equipment, as well as extensive tools for analysis.

Support for foundersThe Office of Technology Transfer and Research Promotion offers a founders' service. The service comprises the following: Business idea (product, market potential), personal skills and further training needs, status of start-up (previously undertaken steps), assistance in preparing a business plan, information about funding opportunities, recruitment of suitable partners. This is supplemented by modular courses, such as lecture series "Start-Ups and Corporate Management", informal gatherings of founders and the founders' forum.

Characteristics of assistance to differently abled personsThe Lower Saxony Higher Education Act states in Article 3 (7) that "the universities ensure that disabled students are not disadvantaged intheir studies and that they can use the services of the university to the greatest extent possible without help from others”. TU Clausthal offers various ways to obtain information, advice and individual support as well as to utilise equalisation of disadvantages measures.
