  • Special features regarding teaching
High practical relevance (through concepts such as practice dialogue and networking with the vocational schools in the region); Student conferences; Networks with other universities with regard to conferences (range of courses); Regular excursions; Forum Culturale (voluntary supporting programme with cultural content such as readings, films, concerts, theater etc.)

Students have the opportunity to link the skills they acquired in practice and at the vocational school with what they learnt at university and apply them. This process is supported by the existing framework conditions (LTZ room, simulation dolls, video system, medical aids and nursing products) and the strong educational support.
  • Characteristics of assistance to differently abled persons
In a personal guidance interview with the head of department, solutions are developed together with the disabled student so that they can complete the course. The contact for students with disabilities, Prof. Dr. Hansmaier, conducts individual guidance sessions and demonstrates support options as to how everyday student life can be designed in a way that is as unlimited as possible. In this way, disabled students can, for example, be granted a driving permit on the otherwise car-free campus. The buildings of the THD are suitable for the disabled.
