    Interdisciplinary structure of all courses; course-specific specializations based on mechanical engineering, materials engineering, electrical engineering, biology, chemistry, computer science and business administration; efficient course sizes with 20 to a maximum of 60 students; Exercises in optimal small groups with 10 to 20 students; wide range of bachelor / master theses from industry; Projects / case studies from companies in small groups (2-8 students); 40-45% of the teaching by specialists from the field; individual crediting of previous knowledge and informally acquired knowledge.

    Bachelor's: international ABET accreditation is being renewed; selected courses and/or project work in English; Master's: Double degree programme with the Università della Calabria (Italy); Short-term programme with Finland in the field of design; Lessons 100% in English, International classroom; General: Involvement of international guest lecturers; Semesters abroad and/or internships abroad and short-term programmes are actively supported; International interns are part of ongoing research projects; International regular students very welcome; Lecturers regularly take part in international conferences

    The Faculty of Technology in Wels is the largest and strongest research faculty of the FH Oberösterreich: approx. 180 current projects, approx. 10M€ acquired R&D funds per year and approx. 250 R&D employees. Major projects, e.g: Josef-Ressel-Zentrum for innovative multi-body dynamics, Josef-Ressel-Zentrum für thermographic non-destructive testing, K-Zentrum für Feed and Food, Quality, Safety and Innovation, various Interreg projects together with research institutions from Germany and the Czech Republic, and many more.

    FH OOE operates its own transfer centre for business start-ups and entrepreneurship; opportunities/risk analysis of a business idea for market suitability; potential analysis of innovation and personality; entrepreneur tests; support in the development of the business plan; selection and contact to suitable subsidies, investors and mentors; support during self-positioning, marketing and sales design; establishment and maintenance of further contacts. Furthermore, FH OOE offers 3 coworking spaces for free to develop business Ideas

    Campus in the city centre and close to the railway station; due to the small size, direct contact to the professors with intensive project support; high proportion of practical work in all study courses; fixed practice and laboratory places, extensive tutorials in elective subjects (e.g. languages); possibility to acquire external certificates in the areas of quality and environmental management (TÜV-Süd), value analysis (VDI). Specialist welding engineer (IIW), course for authorised blasters, etc.; measures to promote women on their way to the FH.
