Special features regarding teachingSeminar-style teaching; High practical relevance of the teaching through practicals assigned to lectures; Student projects are integrated into the course; Some laboratories are open to students for free practice and project work.
Special features regarding the international orientationApproximately 10% of the professors of the faculty are internationals. In the winter semester 2015/16, a special tutorial was established to address specific problems for international students. The university's International Office supports students with stays abroad or guest students, e.g. with housing searches or contact with government authorities. Each semester a course is offered in the department by professors and staff of the University of Pilsen. Research cooperation with universities abroad (e.g. Lomonosov State University Moscow).

Special features regarding the equipmentThe majority of the tuition fees is invested in up-to-date, high-quality laboratory equipment. It is state-of-the-art to ensure the best training opportunities. Five additional laboratories will be put into operation in the winter semester 2016.
Special features regarding research and developmentIn numerous research laboratories, the students can participate in current projects. Possibility of completing a Master's in Applied Research or a cooperative doctorate. The faculty is focused on efforts to integrate research and teaching as much as possible.
Other special featuresExtremely professional departmental student organisation, family atmosphere, active interdisciplinary Formula-Student Team (with Electrical Laboratory in the faculty of Electrical and Electronic Engineering and Information Engineering), intensive research cooperation in the field of Information Technology and subject-related didactics with many higher education institutions in Bavaria.
